Volition – Jack the Robot

This here is Jack. He was made for a movie called volition that is still in the process of being edited. He is one of my older projects but he still has a special place in my heart. It was really fun making something that was a character, not just a prop or costume for a change. Also adding all the functionality that was needed for the movie was a unique challenge.

Jack was made out of an old plastic trash can, a broken radio, a peanut butter jar, some PVC pipe, an old camera lense and other miscellaneous odds and ends. The plastic was cut with a tin snips and formed with a heat gun. the rest of the parts were attached by screws, bolts and hot glue.
